NSD1250 Troubleshooting License issues for One Time Password Server 3

One Time Password Server 3

Situation

One Time Password Server 3 cannot start and the OTPServer.log found at C:Program FilesNordicEdgeOTPServer3logs says:

2010-12-06 10:44:11,647: DEBUG: OTPBridge: Setting TTL for DNS entry to 14400 sec

2010-12-06 10:44:11,647: ERROR: OTPLicenseManager: NO VALID LICENSE FOUND. WILL SHUTDOWN THE OTPSERVER

2010-12-06 10:44:11,647: INFO: OTPBridge [shutdownTheServer] Server is going down…


Solution


Step 1. The license system for the OTP Server version 3 is new and NOT compatible with version 2 which
means that in order to upgrade you need a new license file. Contact Nordic Edge Sales at sales@nordicedge.se
for how the license can be upgraded. Read more about how to upgrade from version 1.6 or 2 to version 3 at:

Step 2. Make sure the license file type is .dat. If it has any other file type when you receive it from Nordic Edge something has happend to the license file during the delivery, for example an antivirus program may have changed it and sometimes also changed the content. 

Step 3. Please make sure that the file has not be edited. 


Step 4. The license file must be placed C:Program FilesNordicEdgeOTPServer3license




Step 5. Make sure the OTPServer.log found at C:Program FilesNordicEdgeOTPServer3logs says:

Step 6. If not please contact sales for a new license file. 


Step 7. If the One Time Password Server stil cannot start please contact Nordic Edge Support at support@nordicedge.se
